He wants us all to live Spirit filled lives, but we all leak to some degree. Sometimes I’m like a poorly put together faucet, and He wants to change that. His desire is for us to be filled with Him and live our lives from that overflow. Everything we do, every decision we make, should flow from our abundant relationship with Him.
Deciding to have an undivided heart rather than a complacent one and putting our trust in His unfailing love instead of the work of our hands. To let our hearts rejoice in our salvation and open our eyes to how good and gracious He really is. We don’t have to settle for less, and we don’t have to let this world nickel and dime all that He wants our relationship with Him to be.
The fact is that it’s a pretty simple but extraordinary concept. If you believe in Jesus and have a living relationship with him, then you’re a new creation. You once lived in darkness, and now you live in light. It’s that simple.
I think that the only thing that brings me closer to the edge of jumping in the deep end is remembering His sacrifice for me. It’s remembering that He gave up all His glory to come here, to live a life of perfect humility, and to allow Himself to be nailed to a cross. All so that I might know Him more. All so that I might be redeemed and my relationship with Him be restored. When I think of the love that drove Him to Calvary I can’t help but say “I’m all in”.
At each stop along the line the bus seemed to linger three times as long as usual. My brain was fried from my language lesson, a headache was building, and I could barely stay awake as we stop by stop made the hour-long journey back to my area of the city. I attempted to curl [...]

We walked off the street into the restaurant with an agenda. Few words were exchanged then we were promptly led to the back. Through a door awaited a low lit room with a small window designed for privacy. Speaking in hushed tones, we talked ‘business’. I felt like I was part of the mafia. As [...]
Fighting for your life when crossing the street, dealing with indecisive landlords that cancel on you when you’ve already paid deposits – twice, walking through sewage on the sidewalks, encountering a different strange smell every other minute, trying to fix toilets that won’t flush, waiting thirty minutes for the bus to arrive (and then seeing four come together), getting your hair cut and having no idea how it will turn out, eating food that is so spicy you that have no idea how it actually tastes… or even WHAT you are actually eating… THIS is Asia.
One thing that has become very apparent to me is the fact that we are definitely called to be lights in our complex and our university. It was either the first or the second night that I walked down stairs and saw more people doing ancestor worship in one place at one time …
So the apartment we found is really nice! And an added bonus is that I basically have a princess room. I guess the person who lived in my room before me was a younger girl that really liked purple and
pink. Not to mention my extremely cool rainbow colored blinds in my
window.
