Another week has gone by, and time has been flying like always. It’s hard to believe that I’ve already been here for over a month! But our days have been filled with making friends, exploring the city, language lessons, and meeting as a team to encourage each other.
You know, prayer is hard to understand. Is it about the words you say? Why does God ask you to pray when He knows what you need? I could go on. I think it comes down to one thing…our heavenly Father hears and responds to the faith of His kids.
I nearly dropped the phone as I read the text. This must be a dream, I thought to myself. The one who had been missing for seven months, my closest friend, the one I’d invested in the most for so much of last year, lead to the Lord personally and discipled was back, alive and well.
“As I was reading I felt so peaceful. The more I read the more I believed the stories in the Bible.”
Azure sent Hero and me a text message. Her text message said “…I have asked for God and He has answered me, thank you again for showing me the way. I believe I will make the decision soon.”
The other day we went to hot pot for the first time with some new friends that we had made. It was a really good meal and time with them, but it made me really think of what things are like here. At hot pot, you continually add things to the pot to cook in the oil and it makes it very interesting. Here, new things happen every day, and you meet new people and go out with friends and do life. It’s like throwing things into the pot; you keep adding things to your everyday life and wonder where it all goes.
The whole hour long ride back we talked about our dreams, what it means to be happy and most importantly about God.
And so as of right now and throughout the rest of the year Beyonce and I are running the Campus Target office. (I have watched ‘The Office’ seasons 3-5, so I am ready to go)
So, she texted me and said she had just found a Bible at her campus and couldn’t wait to tell me about it because she found the story with my name in it!
