I am back in America! I safely fared the 40 hours of travel from China to America and arrived near Rochester, New York. Right now I am at the few days of debriefing with everyone else in Campus Target who just got back to America. We are all taking the time to process our year, our return, and the reverse culture shock we’re all going through. It’s truly interesting how different America feels. Perhaps it’s because I’ve changed more than I realized.

Our eyes revealed a sight even more impressive than the rain’s previous advance: the wall of rain had stopped at the edge of the lake, merely fifty feet from our position. We laughed and praised God, and the water receded, dissipating.
Oh if we as a body could take hold of the full measure

As we were about to leave, Catherine suggested that we should end the night with prayer. As we began, God’s presence was most definitely felt in that place.
“Do you believe. . . in Jesus?” he asked quietly. I replied, of
course, that I do. “Do you?” I asked. “Yes, I do!” he exclaimed.
As we were preparing to leave, a girl approached us and told us she thought that i shouldn’t have written that to people in a disaster, because it doesn’t seem like God loves them if this happened to them.
I only opened the meeting by asking if anyone had something to share, either testimony or lesson that God had taught them. Once they started, it lasted an hour. Stories were shared, passages were taught…
Betsy stopped back at my table after giving the owner back his pen and said, “Can I ask you a question?” “Sure!” I replied. “Are you a Christian?” she blurted out.
