Revelation

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 by Autumn

Have you ever accidentally let go of a helium balloon you really wanted to keep? Maybe you start with it tied to your wrist, but after a while, it starts irritating your skin and you decide to take it off and lose it in the process. As it rapidly flies up into the sky, you [...]

The H-Town Times

Monday, November 29th, 2010 by McDoogle

“CT celebrates its first-ever H-Town Thanksgiving.  Participants cut class to enjoy a homemade meal complete with 3 different kinds of fowl, stuffing, sweet-potato pie, green bean salad, and hot cocoa from home.”  The feasting lasted well into the evening as over-stuffed Americans coupled the digestion process with a football game and Charlie Brown.” “Winter has [...]

Thankful Hands

Monday, November 29th, 2010 by Phoenix

November was a busy month for us here in K-Town. I was most excited about the Thanksgiving holiday and the opportunities we had to share it with our friends.

Second Thanksgiving in Asia

Sunday, November 28th, 2010 by Amilah

So I have officially celebrated my second Thanksgiving in Asia.  I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by; it seems like just yesterday that I was getting on the plane for the first time.  Over a year later, I sit here in awe.  I’m amazed by how much that I can truly say [...]

Happy Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 25th, 2010 by Clive

“Happy Thanksgiving” in the language we’re studying carries the meaning ”to be moved to give thanks for kindness, favor, or grace.” I am definitely in a place of joyous thanksgiving this year as I realize more and more the depths of our Father’s love, a love that doesn’t depend on what I do, say, or feel, but on His viewing [...]

Hunger is an Escort

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 by Acorn

Work here is like being a cook. The fantastic thing about this type of cooking is that the food is always good! (I live in the perfect city for a food analogy, ’cause the C-town has some of the best in the world!) Our food is the Bread of Life—Jesus—and it’s seasoned with the word of God. Whether they know it or not, everyone is hungry for it and everybody needs it! It’s free, it’s in abundance, gives life and liberty, and is the only source of true satisfaction! I’m in the right business!

Who’s Driving?

Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010 by Joy

Looking out the bus window a few days before our Thanksgiving party, I saw a man driving his car with a passenger in the front seat. The passenger was leaning over and trying to help the driver steer! It was an instant reminder to me about our walk with God.

The New Campus

Monday, November 22nd, 2010 by Xena

I watched the smile on Zoe’s face grow as Fay explained more. “The present is God’s love
and affection for you”. Zoe announced to us that she wanted to read her Bible this week and was eager to hear God’s voice. I have felt such a connection with her, and I was excited to see a genuine hunger emanate from her. As we started walking, Resella (one of Zoe’s friends) started to talk to me after the Bible study. “You know, when Fay played her guitar I really felt like the whole world was in harmony.” I smiled and said, ” I think you felt God’s presence”.

Classroom Concert

Sunday, November 21st, 2010 by Simba

So I was in class last week. Because I told the teacher that I liked to play guitar during my free time, a classmate went to get hers during a break. I played a little, and then I gave it to her to play. The chords she played reminded me of a familiar song, and [...]

Water into Life

Thursday, November 18th, 2010 by Autumn

As soon as I walked through security, I burst into tears. I’d hugged my mom and brother, took off my shoes and emptied my pockets while an uncontrollable surge of emotion flooded my heart. I was really going to miss them. The security guards felt noticeably uncomfortable; wanting and not wanting to look at me [...]
