Trails of FIRE

Friday, January 28th, 2011 by Clive

Let me give you a few highlights from the past few weeks. I’m in Thailand (which means about 80-90 degree temp change;) at our annual retreat with all the CT as well as Target folks (most of these long-termers from our parent org work with UPG’s, or Unreached People Groups in Asia). It’s been an [...]

A Culture of Honor

Sunday, January 23rd, 2011 by Clover

Runnin’ Strong I’m currently racking my brain for what occurred before our time in Thailand … It’s fuzzy, but it’s coming back to me now. The day before we left for Bangkok, I kept a busy schedule: I met with a friend to discuss what God put on her heart about reaching prostitutes in the [...]

Unexpected Believers!

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011 by Adriel

“Why are people standing outside and not going in?” I said as I neared my apartment. I looked inside and saw at least 30 Asian students already packed into my little apartment for a Christmas party. In total I think we squeezed about 45 people in. It was fun, we sang some songs, decorated cookies [...]

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Sunday, January 16th, 2011 by Sheldon

My buddy Frankie got saved! It was absolutely amazing. There were two short-term guys staying at my place getting the Asia experience so they came with me to meet with Frankie on that day. It was really great to see how God has really touched his heart since I first met him not so long ago. When we first met, Frankie was a Buddhist. Not only was he that, but he was very quick to mention this and let me know that he defined himself as such

Just wanted to let ya’ll know that our candy outreach activity went AMAZING! Here are some highlights:  1. We divided up into two groups, and split up to cover more area. We hit classrooms, dormitories, people sitting outside studying, students near the library, ping pong players, students merely walking around; we gave out verses [...]

Seeing our Friends Grow

Friday, January 14th, 2011 by Xena

This last Sunday Fay, Atlas, and our friend Esther and I went to the New Campus to meet with some friends. We met with our friend Tea and went for a long walk. We stopped and sat down in some grass and talked. Atlas shared his own testimony and I told her how God had been providing for me in so many areas in my life. She began to share how she wanted to be a Christian and asked us what she has to do to become one.

Time for Tea!

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011 by Fay

Tea started talking about her friend who had come to the U.S., and become a Christian! This friend had told her all
about Jesus and his desire to now become a pastor. Tea looked thoughtful, and said, ‘One day I hope to become a Christian.’ We were all so excited! We answered questions she had, and told her the amazing difference God had made in our lives personally. She
decided to become a Christian right then and there! So amazing. Tea, whom we had only met for the second time, is now a citizen of
Heaven!

What is it that makes living for God so special? Well for me, it’s that you just never know what is going to happen next.

To Give you Candy and a Future

Have you ever stumbled on an idea that’s so good, so exciting, and makes so much sense that you can’t help but wonder, “Why haven’t I ever done this before?”   Recently, my sister and friend Amy shared her personal testimony at our Christmas party. In it, she had mentioned the significance of seeing Christians [...]

And the Traveling Begins

Friday, January 7th, 2011 by Amilah

Finals are over! Wooh Hooh! We made it! The five of us successfully completed our first semester enrolled in a University!  Looking back to four and a half months ago, I couldn’t even read an entire sentence in the local language.  And now, wow, the progress that I have made is truly a gift.  It’s [...]
