Traveling and Training

Thursday, February 24th, 2011 by Rocky

As I sit on a couch in an apartment that I have called home for the past 3 weeks I reflect on the past 2 months. It has been almost that long since I was back in my own apartment. The past almost 2 months now has been a whirlwind. I finished my exams, visited [...]

Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring!

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011 by Autumn

For all of my upstate New York friends, my blog title may have some of you wondering if I’ve forgotten that it sometimes snows until April and that spring hasn’t exactly arrived yet. Fear not, I haven’t forgotten my roots. The weather here in the ‘du is also still cold – long johns are my [...]

“On Top of the World”

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011 by Dublin

So, we went to the roof of my apartment building to watch the surrounding fireworks. My building is 35 stories tall. So there I stood, looking at my city, yes my city. I’ve decided to take ownership of it. I could see farther than normal that night. The normal visibility is not that far due to the smog and clouds. The fireworks were all around us.

Getting Intentional

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011 by Xena

Now that the Festival has ended our friends will be returning to their campuses, which means we will return to our regular schedule of meetings with friends, prayer walks, Bible studies, and group events. We are even going to start encounter nights where we can join our friends together to meet with God. We have been doing a lot of planning and discussing things that we can do to be more intentional with our friends. We want to spread the Word and raise up some great disciples. We’ve got some great ideas, and God has even been giving me some awesome visions for things to come!

History 101

Monday, February 21st, 2011 by Amilah

For the past couple weeks, I have been taking part in an internship in a city far away from where I live.  It has been an incredible time during which the leader of our parent organization (TM), has been able to share story after story about his past 20 years serving in this area of [...]

Back in Business

Friday, February 18th, 2011 by Enoch

Well, our winter session has come to close. I really was grateful for the people who took their time to invest in me. We had great speakers who encouraged me for round 2! I have 13 weeks to make it happen! I’m excited for what God has done so far with such a beautiful work and can’t wait to see the rest of his Glorious Plan!

Is 2000 too many?

Sunday, February 13th, 2011 by Clive

Hey Family!    I felt a small hand on my back but didn’t move. I was on the ground, completely captivated by the Lord’s presence while worshipping at the International Fellowship here in K-twon. I didn’t need to look. I didn’t want to move. All I could do was something between laughing and crying as [...]

Festival Time

Tuesday, February 8th, 2011 by Enoch

We had a lot of close time with our friend Kyle, to pour into him and talk about what God has for him next! Kyle was tearing up the whole time we talked to him. The Lord pressed on our hearts to tell him how much he means to God and how important his life is to the Kingdom. Kyle said that before he met us his life felt simple and now he knows the calling on his life!

An Explosive New Year

Monday, February 7th, 2011 by Atlas

One of the major traditions of Spring Festival, besides overeating and drinking too much, is the setting off of fireworks. And because of the non existent restrictions on them, the city takes on the feel of a war zone. For a week straight all I’ve heard, besides Dinner the rooster, is a series of explosions, with the flashes of light coming through the windows of my apartment.

What an Adventure!

It’s hard to believe, but I’m headed into the last four
months here in Asia! So far we have seen friendships being built, Bible studies grow, and people building new and awesome relationships with God. I can’t wait to see what will happen during the remaining months here. I’m also curious as to what God has next for me after I return to the States.
