Sun
Hi Everybody,
I hope all bodes well with all of you. Things are boding quite well here. With our departure now being next week, I’ve been making a concerted effort to see all my friends one more time, let ‘em know that I love ‘em and Jesus loves ‘em. It’s been pretty special. We said goodbye to our friend Paul the other night, seeing as he had to return to his job in another town. You may remember that Paul was our first friend over here and came to the Lord at the Christmas party. Since then he’s been alittle emotionally shaky, but God gave me a real assurance that he would be alright and the work would continue in his life, which was nice to have.
Here’s a cool story from the past week. I met a new visitor to the Saturday meeting named Sun. He said it was his first time there, but he’s read a book about “THE BOOK” and said that he was interested in becoming a Christian. I asked him what he thought that entailed and he replied living a good life and treating others with respect. I then assured him that those were good and important things, but more importantly it means a relationship with Jesus Christ and asking him to forgive you of your sins. He took this with great interst and before we could go any further, food was served and he was swept away into the crowd. Well, I continued to pray for him and I saw him the next day at the Sunday party. When I had talked to him after the meeting, he told me that during the lesson that day, he had prayed to Jesus and asked him into his life. He said that he’d felt like a new person, even since the day before, and the apartment in which we met felt like a second home to him, even though that was his first time there.
It was very encouraging for me to see that even though we are at the gloaming of our departure over here, God is still doing awesome things and the work is not over yet.
