It is another day; another Friday; another trip taken to the University to visit my friends. Each time God teaches me some thing new about Him, me and the people in this country. However, I never quite expect it.

Two weeks ago it was a lesson on waiting and not stepping ahead of His leading. So what was my lesson today?

This was the last time that I would be able to get together with my friends. (Each week we have met together for fellowship and discipleship.) I had no agenda. I just wanted to be with them.

We walked and talked about life and school. Then we went to lunch. I told them that I would miss them and encouraged them. After lunch we walked and window shopped. Then it was time to go. Zhang Yun handed me a beautiful glass ornament with an angel and a rose etched in it. Liao Li handed me an envelope and told me to open it later. We parted and said

So as we sat there I was praying that God would speak and not me. Then I opened my mouth.

I told her I loved her and that what I was about to say was not me trying to be mean. Then .. it came.. You can NOT do it by yourself. You are trying to attain your desires apart from God. If you continue you are making your life difficult.

Sick all week

These past 6 weeks have been full to say the least. As my last update stated, I left for a retreat in a nearby country at the beginning of February. It was beautiful, sunny weather, awesome hotel/resort. It was a great place to be. This is the one vacation that the workers for the company get per year. So they go all out to make them relax and be rejuvenated for another year of service. The theme was healing. And what happens, I am sick ALL week. I find it very funny. All week I was attacked left, right, front and center. The vomiting, the coughing, the hacking just plain GROSS!

I kept thinking what is going on here! Is it that I have no faith to be healed physically, is there unresolved sin issues, or it is this a test?

Well two weeks after the retreat, I know it was a combination of all three. I started out with much faith, believing and expecting healing. But with passing time doubt crowded my heart. Which turned to frustration
