Enrisey approached my roommate, Phoenix, at an English Corner. Within two minutes she asked where she could find a Bible, saying she always wanted one and that she was eager to read it.

Derek Levendusky (a speaker and musician) tells a story of a time when he was traveling between two events. He was exhausted, so he prayed, “God, use me, in spite of me.” Immediately he sensed God reply, “Since when have I used you BECAUSE of you?”

It’s so true, isn’t it?

It may seem odd, but ever since coming here I’ve had Big Daddy Weave’s version of “Go, Tell it on the Mountain” stuck in my head. Granted, we do live on a mountain and we are here to tell people about Christ, so it only makes sense, right? Well, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing.

“I don’t know, maybe the Bible is true. I have heard it is God’s love letter to us. Could we study it together? I am not a Christian yet, but I would love to learn more about what you believe!”

The above snippet is from a post-dinner conversation I had with a new friend, Angela, tonight. She is so open — I am going to love studying the Bible with her this year!
