So it’s finally the end of the New Year celebration, and we really ended with a bang. Okay, so that was a cheesy pun on all the great
fireworks that we watched the last day of the celebration. I explained a little bit in my last update, but here in Asia the New Year doesn’t begin until February and the actual celebration lasts weeks. This means weeks of amazing fireworks!
The last day of the celebration is also the traditional lamp lighting festival. My friends and I wanted to participate, so we
bought a lamp and lit the flammable brick inside. As the fire burned, it caused the inside of the lamp to inflate; and when it
was fully expanded we let it go and it floated up into the sky. The tradition beforehand is to write a wish on the lamp. As I watched
my friends come up with some awesome wishes, I started thinking about my desires for our campus. But this is a wish after all, so I
should make it big! I started thinking about all of Asia and I knew what to write on my lamp, desiring for everyone to simply to
have a love relationship with their Father.
Now that the Festival has ended our friends will be returning to their campuses, which means we will return to our regular schedule
of meetings with friends, prayer walks, Bible studies, and group events. We are even going to start encounter nights where we can
join our friends together to meet with God. We have been doing a lot of planning and discussing things that we can do to be more
intentional with our friends. We want to spread the Word and raise up some great disciples. We’ve got some great ideas, and God has
even been giving me some awesome visions for things to come! I’d love for you to be a part.
1.) Because we want to spread the Word as much as possible in the next 3 months, will you join me in specifically asking God for
direction and finding those who are hungry?
2.) Right now we have four friends that I believe God is going to use as our key disciples. Will you join me in asking for God’s
protection and guidance over them?
Sunny, Kyle, Tea, Qing Qing
3.) I also received three different visions for the campus recently, can you help me interpret them? The more insight the
better : )
- - A large bell (like what you would see in a bell tower)
- - The whole campus covered in a thick layer of snow, with a soft
snow still falling
- - A bright star on top of a Christmas tree (I think it could be in
relation to our team as well)
4.) Lastly, will you join me asking for protection over our team. Specifically against fear and anxiety, and for good dreams at night
where we can encounter God.
I’m so excited for the next 3 months and I can’t wait to share with you the amazing things God is going to do on our campus! Thank you so much for all your support : )
