Sowing the Seed

We’ve been having some great times with our friends! As a matter of fact, each week we have a big gathering with friends to see who is interested in learning more about God. Last week was “girl’s night” and we had about 12 girls at our apartment. We played phase 10 and a question game to get to know each other better and then we illustrated sin by covering two pots with flour, one on the inside and one on the outside. We put a lid on each pot and had our friends pick which one was dirty. They all chose the pot that was dirty on the outside. Then we showed them how the other pot was dirty on the inside. The dirt on the inside is like sin and it affects us. The only way to get rid of the “dirt” is to ask forgiveness from God. On another occasion, we had “encounter night” where we all gathered together to worship and hear the voice of God.

Music filled the air as our friends lowered their hands quietly, seeking to hear a word from Him. I closed my eyes and
asked God to speak to my friends in a clear and incredible way. We went around the circle and each of our friends shared the amazing things God shared with them. We got to our friend Jane and I was in awe!

“Dad can speak without using words. I feel that He loves me no matter what I do.” She looked at my friends and I and said, “God
calls you beloved sons and daughters, and I think I want to be one. I think you are sent here to tell me about Him”.

I have to say it was the most amazing thing I have experienced since I have been here! She began talking about God’s Kingdom and
it was hard not to cry. We talked to her for a long time, and I have been praying that she will continue to seek His voice.

This week we are having our “guy/girl’s night”. The gatherings have been a great way to spread the word to many people and to see who is interested in learning more about God. Will you join me in asking that these parties will be very fruitful?

Other Prayer Requests:
Will you join me in lifting up Jane? It’s my heart to see her make a decision for God.
Other friends on my heart: Tea, Elaine, Zoe, Neko, Cherry, Annabelle, Qing Qing, J
Will you also continue to ask that God guides us to the good seed?
We’d love to see more girl disciples.
Will you lift up our campus?
Will you pray against divisions? (Cultural/language)
On a personal note, I am asking God for focus and direction for the
future and prayer against any discouragement.
