What We Believe

God

We believe in one God, triune in expression: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that He created the heavens, earth, and made man in His image. We believe that He is perfect and that out of His nature flows the pure expressions of love, justice, mercy, truth, grace, judgment, holiness, and righteousness. We believe that God is all powerful, all knowing, all present, and actively concerned and involved with the affairs of man.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is God’s only son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin birth. We believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man; that he lived a sinless life, and that in Him was the full divine power of heaven. We believe that he had a supernatural ministry of miracles and teaching about the Kingdom of God and that he came to earth to reconcile mankind to Himself. We believe that he died to pay the price of sin, that he rose to defeat the power of death, and that He lives today as man’s advocate to the Father. We believe that he appeared to his disciples after the resurrection and commissioned them to build His Kingdom on earth until His return.

Holy Sprit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the fully divine expression of the person of God. We believe that He is active today to comfort, teach, and empower believers to walk in righteousness and to fulfill the Great Commission.

Man

We believe that man was created by God, in His image, for His pleasure, purpose, and glory. We believe that man finds his greatest fulfillment in relationship with God, and that the first man (Adam) sinned and caused a separation in communion between God and man. We believe that man is born with a sinful nature and is hopeless to achieve righteousness of his own efforts. We believe that God seeks out sinful man and extends the free gift of grace through Jesus in order that man can be washed clean from all sin and restored into relationship with God. We believe that water baptism is an outward demonstration of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection transforming our lives.

Bible

We believe that the Bible is the divine, infallible Word of God; written by men, inspired by the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is relevant for today.

The Church

We believe that the Church is the expression of God’s Kingdom advancing in the world. We believe that it exists to produce a radical and relational community of believers who live to be transformed by Jesus’ love and allow that transformation process to reproduce itself in their communities, towns, cities, nations, and the world.
