What Will I Do?
Build Friendships.
You will spend your time building friendships with Asian college students. When you meet them, they may have heard of Jesus before, but they have no idea that He wants to save them from their sin, have a personal relationship and fill their lives with hope.
You’ll spend time becoming friends with them, just like you would with someone here. You even get to build from your skills and interests. If you like sports, hang out at the basketball courts for an afternoon. If you like cooking, ask a new friend from the English Corner to help you shop for and cook a fun meal at your home.
Make Disciples
Before you know it many of your friends will begin to accept Christ. From then on you’ll help them grow strong in their faith. As new believers they are eager for you to teach them about God and help them become vibrant leaders in their church even after you leave.
As you disciple your newly saved friends you’ll be looking to invest particularly in the ones who are faithful, available and teachable. In these people you will invest your heart into reproducing leaders with a heart to change the world for Jesus. By raising up church leaders you strategically impact thousands of people and change a nation.
Plant Churches
By the end of the year you and your team members will have planted a new church filled with your friends. Asian church leaders will work with you to develop new leaders and create a dynamic and genuine community that is self-sustaining. After you leave, God will continue to reach, save and transform people through those you’ve discipled!
