Hello everyone! It’s been a busy last few weeks here! As my time here in Asia is coming to a close, I’m in the process of saying goodbyes. Some of the goodbyes are much easier than others. Some of these goodbyes are really tough: when friends aren’t where I’d like to see them with God yet. I know that in this life I will never get to see the rest of their journey, (hopefully their journey of joining the family) and the experiences that life will hand them and how those experiences will change them. I won’t get to see them grow in depth, won’t get to see them love God, or the lessons He will teach them. I can only pray that the work God has started it their hearts will be completed. I can only pray that He captures their hearts and speaks truth and life into them even in my absence. I know God will be placing other brothers and sisters in my friends’ paths, but I will never get to see it.

When this life is over and I stand before my Father, I am so looking forward to Him showing me around and reuniting me with my friends from this year. I can only imagine my friend Magic running up to me, telling me her story and her passion for the One who has showed her grace, or my friend Tanz using her artistic talent in beautiful worship, my friend Monica singing songs with me of focused adoration, or my friend Xiaoyi jumping with joy as we celebrate God’s love. Their stories are not finished, but I’ve been honored to get to be part of them. I know my God is not done in their lives. I think back on all that’s happened, all I’ve gotten to experience, and all that God has done both through me and in me. He’s amazing. He really is. I’m so thankful that I’m not on my own in this. He has been with me at every step and through every tear. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me or have given financially. You support means so much to me, and I pray that God would bless you many times over for the ways that you have blessed me this year. I would be so grateful for your continued prayers as I finish saying goodbyes, pack, fly back, and for a smooth transition and re-entry into culture and life in the States. Thank you, and I will see you all soon! 🙂
