Lyme is a nasty disease. An intelligent, spiral-shaped bacteria embeds itself into your bloodstream and manifests itself in a variety of ways for different people.
For me, it was constant headaches, quick-shooting pain throughout my body, and an intense exhaustion. By the end of four weeks on antibiotics, all my symptoms had lifted. I hadn’t realized just how hard my body was fighting until I felt the relief. It was amazing!
But then, just two weeks after I stopped the antibiotics, everything came back. Slowly at first. Knight and I were holding our breath, hoping the headaches were related to pregnancy or seasonal allergies, but day by day, it continued to feel undeniably like the unique Lyme headaches I had experienced just 1-2 months before.
It was a Tuesday night and as my head hit the pillow, I just let the tears stream down my face. I was overwhelmed. I didn’t know how to do it. How to function day to day and take care of my sweet, little girl and be pregnant too all while taking care of my responsibilities with work. The pain was debilitating.
Wednesday morning the next day, our team here gathered together and prayed for me. Since that time, I have not had Lyme-like symptoms. It has been four weeks!!

Sometimes God decides to remind you of His Power and Love in ways that are meant to catapult you forward in faith. I cannot help but sense that He held such purpose in His heart for me and for Knight as we experienced this healing.
