We headed to campus after spending our morning with the rest of the team in the city asking God to do a mighty work in our friends and in this city. After meeting some new people and getting four girls’ numbers so that we could connect with them later in the week, Zylee and I agreed that we wanted to get at least one more number before we headed home. The sky was grey, and mist sprayed on us as we walked around the campus looking for our next friend…

Then… I saw her. She was sitting on a bench all by herself. I’d like to say it was God highlighting her to me, but maybe it was just her yellow purse… Regardless, we walked over towards her. Zylee said “hello” and we struck up conversation. We were just a few sentences in when Emily invited us to sit with her. Soon her friend skipped over and joined us on the bench. (I just love it when God brings us more friends.) After answering their questions about if we have a boyfriend, like Asian food and have ever met Obama, it was time to ask them a few things. I asked Emily and Jo-Jo what they believe in. They both responded that they didn’t believe in anything. It only seemed like an opportune time to share with them what we believe in. The smile that lit up Jo-Jo’s face when she realized that this was the answer she had been searching for was priceless.

Soon we were rejoicing because we had two new sisters! And what a better way to celebrate than to eat rabbit? …That’s what we thought anyways, and so that’s what we did.
