Five years ago, in August of 2008, God unexpectedly called me to serve Him in Asia. I had never been on a mission trip before. I struggled in my faith all through college and knew I wasn’t qualified for this. But I had a heart to say yes and a promise from Him that I would “be changed and be used.”

Since agreeing to follow Jesus on this crazy and incredible journey, God has put people in my life who, for some crazy reason, decided to help me 🙂 Some of you have given hundreds and even thousands of dollars in financial support to see the lost college students in Asia hear about Jesus, in many cases where they’re hearing for the first time. Some of you have prayed for me, had me over for a meal, encouraged me and sent me emails, advocated for me with your church or with one of your friends, introduced me to someone who would take a chance on me and hear about what God is doing in my life, paid for some of my personal bills, loaned me a vehicle, bought me an ipod, sent me a package, and countless other things. I might be one of the most blessed people in the world.

I need you to know something. Without you, this entire ministry would not be possible. You play a vital role in my life; God has used you and is using you to help me reach His lost loved ones over seas; He has used you to strengthen and equip me; He’s used you to speak destiny into the lives of the new believers and churches here. I’ll say it again — everything that has happened here over the last five years has happened in large part because of you.

I want you all to know how thankful I am and I want to honor you for your generosity and your love. Thank you. Thank you, so much. Even though I would never be able to pay back all of these amazing blessings, I can’t wait to see the ridiculous amount of treasure that you have stored up for yourselves in heaven. As my mom would say, you’re going to have a lot of tinsel on your wings. 🙂

A special thank you to the quiet heroes who have been lifting me up in prayer. I rely on prayer to direct my steps every day. I can see how God is opening doors here and in my own personal walk; and it’s not a coincidence. Thank you for your intercession!

Wishing you all a happy and blessed Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for you.
