Green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, banana bread, cookies and barbecue chicken…the table was set for a Thanksgiving celebration dinner with some of our brothers and sisters. After a special dinner with our siblings, the rest of our friends began arriving for the party… and they kept coming and coming and coming and coming. Soon the apartment was packed full of 60+ friends that Hershey, Leroy, Zylee and I have met over the past 3 months. Leroy was able to share the history of Thanksgiving and a story about what he is most thankful for – Jesus.
It was a great night of connecting with old friends, meeting new ones, sowing seeds and loving on the beautiful people God has brought into our lives this year. I am so looking forward to the Christmas parties that we are already beginning to plan where we can bake cookies, decorate the tree, talk about the true meaning of Christmas and begin to reap the harvest of seeds that were sown at the Thanksgiving party and over the past 3 months. It’s going to be good!
