Happy Thanksgiving! I don’t know about you, but I have so many things to be thankful for! Dad has been doing so many cool things here. Recently my roommate and I had an opportunity to lead a team of one-semester workers to see a famous historical monument right here in our city! It was an awesome experience!

I was thinking about how cool it would be to lead a team while getting some hands-on leadership experience, and how it was going to be stretching for our language skills. What I didn’t expect was realizing how much history and culture I was going to be exposed too. It made me want to learn more! I had a moment of realization while I was at the historical site. Looking at all this history was so intriguing. It was a total Dad moment! If you know me, you know I am not a big History nerd. I don’t know much about the history of Asia. I felt like Dad stirred something up in my heart that day. I need to know more, and I want to know more!

The holidays can be a very hard time of the year for most of us here in Asia because it’s a time when homesickness can start to creep in. But despite the fact we are not with our immediate family, we have an awesome family right here that God placed in our lives. We had a wonderful time of fellowship, giving thanks, and eating lots of delicious food! My favorite part of Thanksgiving was going around the table and sharing what we are thankful for. It’s something so little but yet so special. I feel so honored that God chose to place me here in Asia with this awesome family!
