A few weeks ago, our entire team prayed together for 24 hours straight! One of the things we asked God for was courage and boldness for our Asian friends as they headed home for New Year (equivalent to our Christmas and New Year’s combined). As many of our friends headed home, it would be the first or second time they’d share with their family about their decision to have a relationship with God. This can be a nerve-wrecking, even scary time for our friends, as this culture relies heavily upon community and honoring your familial ancestry. We asked that God would give them the courage to tell their families about their decision to follow Him and boldness to stand for the truth, even if they faced opposition or persecution.
Well, one of our friends went home and shared with his parents. He had shared with them once before and decided he needed to do it again. As he shared with them everything God had been doing in his life and in the lives of his friends here in the X, their eyes began to be opened to who God was and all He had done for us because of His love for us… and they said “YES!” to starting a relationship with Him! How amazing is that??
But wait! There’s more! It didn’t end there. Throughout the rest of the week, while our friend was home, he continued sharing God with other family members and THREE MORE OF HIS FAMILY MEMBERS SAID “YES!” TO DAD!! If you’re not floored by that, I don’t know what else to tell ya!
What I am a part of here is so much bigger than anything I can do on my own strength. God is moving through this country like a still, yet forceful wind. His love is changing hearts, changing families and will one day, change this nation. Would you join me in praying for this nation? We want to see God show up in every province, every city, every home in this nation. We want to see churches formed in every city, all set on knowing God more and bringing His love to the ends on the earth!
If you are at a place in your life where you feel like God isn’t moving or He isn’t even real, do not lose heart. The Lion is on the move. God takes delight in who you are, whether you are near or far. His plans for you are SO much bigger than you can even imagine. Dare to know Him more today and say “YES!” to what He’s leading you to today. Is there anything I can be praying about for you? Please let me know.
