Hello! I hope you’re doing well, and enjoying these glorious fall colors! I enjoyed a beautiful fall day this past weekend with some friends as we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving (complete with pumpkin carving)! Even beyond the vibrant autumn, however, there have been many seasons changing in CT over the past few weeks.

My first exciting news is that almost 30 Asian college students have said yes to a relationship with Christ since our new workers have arrived in Asia! We are all blown away.

It’s always a reason to rejoice when a new brother or sister joins the family, but we are extra excited to see so many new believers saying yes at the beginning of the school year. It will give our workers this year much more time with them to teach them, walk with them, and encourage them in their new walks with God.

Please pray that the “yes” of these new brothers and sisters will continue to grow into a committed walk with God, that they will see the importance of meeting together with other believers, and that they will not turn back in the midst of persecution. I do not have the names of every one of these new brothers and sisters, but if you want to pray specifically, I know they include friends named Lily, Crystal, Su (a boy), and Joy.

Please also be lifting up our 17 first-year workers. After living in Asia for almost two months, the sheen is starting to wear off the newness of life in Asia. They’re moving past the honeymoon phase and settling into the reality of life in Asia. Please pray that our new workers will be encouraged by close friendships among each other, that they will take the time to rest well, and that they will be encouraged and strengthened in their personal time with God.

Finally, I’m excited to announce that I have recently been asked to take on the role of planning all of CT’s major training events throughout the year! Over the next year, the current Events Coordinator will be transitioning out, and teaching me the ropes of organizing our April Training for potential workers, our two-week Training Camp for those launching to Asia, and our week-long Debrief for workers returning from the field.

There will certainly be a lot to learn (both the easy way and the hard way, I’m sure!), but I’m so excited to become even more involved in the Stateside team’s work of inspiring, equipping, and launching young adults to give a year of their lives to share Christ with college students in Asia.

Thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement! Please be praying for me as I prepare to step into that role. I would appreciate prayer that I’d be able to balance this role well with my other responsibilities as CT’s Financial Coordinator and my role on the administrative team. Please also pray for God to guide each of these events, and for wisdom in decision-making for these events.
