I know it has been a while since I have written, but allow me to first wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy New Years, AND Happy Asian New Year (which is January 31s) or as I like to refer to them all together- Merry Christma-America/Asian New Years!
It has certainly been a whirlwind these past couple of months, which helps to explain why it has been so long since I have written an update! Here are just some of the highlights from this past season:
- We had 3 huge Christmas parties in our city in which 80+ Asian friends attended and heard the REAL meaning of the season!
- As a result, THREE students gave their lives to Jesus!! Praise the Lord!
- We had our first ever Christmas Eve sleepover, where we as a city of workers exchanged gifts at midnight, slept under the tree, ate sticky buns for breakfast and read the Christmas story together. It was pretty magical. And yes, there was snoring 🙂
- We just completed our annual Conference a couple of days ago. As part of my new job as Asia-Side Events Coordinator, it was my beast to organize for this year. It was certainly a lot of work, but it went really really well and I am very pleased with how it turned out. I am sitting in a cafe writing this update on this, my last day in the warm weather, before flying home to Asia tomorrow.
Thank you all so much for standing with me during this season. Even though I haven’t written as often as I would like, or should for that matter, your yarps and support continue to come through! I am so blessed by each and every one of you!
I hope you all are having a great start to 2014, and I am excited to see what God has in store for all of us this year!
