Hello!!

I know a lot of people have some pretty cool stories of how they have rang in the New Year in seasons past. Whether you are watching a ball drop in NYC, lighting sparklers on your lawn, or passing out on the couch at 9:30 PM, everyone has a tale to tell. Well, for me, this year I had a whole new experience: ringing in the New Year at 38,000 ft somewhere over the Pacific Ocean.

I began my trek back to Asia on December 30th EST. I got on my plane from JFK on the evening of the 30th EST, and now I am safely in a neighboring country, where it is 8:45 am on January 1st. I can’t really say what I was doing when 2015 actually started-let’s be honest, I was probably sleeping, ha! But I have to admit, saying that my year started over 7 miles above the earth’s surface is pretty cool.

Thank you so much for your prayers for my safe journey! So far everything has gone really smoothly and has been pretty uneventful (which is a good thing!) I have about three more hours here before I take my final flight back to the X and finally get to shower and change my clothes. Praise the Lord!

Have a Happy New Year, and I will write again Asia side!
