It’s not often that I can will myself out of bed before the sun rises, but getting to see the first light of day (even in a city where it’s rarely dark) always starts my day off right. Sharing about the meaning of Easter creates an even better beginning!

My roommate and I stood surrounded by about fifty students this morning as we taught them words such as Easter, resurrection, and cross. A local girl named Hailey invited us to speak about Easter at 7 AM during an English practice time her and a few ambitious friends had started. Honestly, it was hard to tell if the news of what Jesus had done made it past the idea that this is a “Western belief.” I hope that this seed of truth will plant itself in many of their hearts, and the next time they hear about Jesus, they’ll give it a second glance because these weird foreigners so passionately shared about Easter with them. Sometimes it’s hard to see what good sharing does, but I know that the gospel is “the power of God for salvation” (Romans 1:16). 🙂 Continue sharing God’s love with those around you!

In other news, I have started a small group with my friend Liberty over video! She lives down south, but she needed encouragement and I LOVE talking with her! I’m also participating and leading two other small groups including two guys and three girls. I’ve really enjoyed the mutual growth and encouragement that comes from these two groups.
