Well, after a whirlwind two week trip to the US to see my best friend get married, I am finally back in Asia. I was so grateful to see many of you while in Texas, and the wedding in New York went perfectly! I had the honor of acting as Amerie’s maid of honor, and it was an awesome experience. (Amerie was my roommate during my first year in Asia)
I won’t stay still for long, though. Today, I head to Thailand for our annual retreat. I’m very excited (and a little nervous) for this because I have the opportunity to lead worship for two of our meetings! I’ve felt God calling me to lead worship for about a year now, and I’ve been involved with music from the age of six. I love that God is using me in this way! Please pray with me that God will show up and move during those worship times because without his presence, they’re just songs.
Also, I want this retreat time to be a time marked by growth in my relationship with God. What I mean by that is, in the past, I’ve typically been focused on connecting with people I haven’t seen in a year, or making sure I get to play games. Please pray for me that this time in Thailand I’ll be more focused on God and that he would reveal things to me as I dig deeper into our relationship 🙂 I have a feeling this next season will be filled with challenges and I will need a deeper connection with Dad while going through it.
