Have you ever had a moment when you emerge out of a dark tunnel to see a beautiful scene before you? Maybe it’s a sunset or the ocean with white billowy waves. Either way, when that happens it creates a sense of clarity in me. There’s a simultaneous feeling of the infinite smallness of being human combined with the thankfulness that I get to live this life.

I had a few of those moments this past two months, especially when helping with the training for eleven new young people headed to Asia for nine months. Honestly, I came home from Asia at the beginning of August a little lost in that dark tunnel. I had lost vision for what God was doing, and I had lost a bit of who I was along with it. I could blame it on any number of things: my circumstances, something I did or didn’t do, etc. But I think it’s just a process that God is taking me on.Anyway, as I led worship for almost every class over that two weeks, the teachings started opening my heart up again to why I went to

Anyway, as I led worship for almost every class over that two weeks, the teachings started opening my heart up again to why I went to Asia to begin with and the sheer awesomeness of the things we are seeing happen over there. People who have never heard the name Jesus or were taught by teacher after teacher that there is no God are deciding to follow Him. College students (both Asian and American :)) are learning the importance and a method of sharing the good news of what Jesus has done. Asian students from minority groups (many considered unreached) are going back to share with their families something they may never have heard otherwise. You just don’t get to see that every day!

Reigniting the heartbeat of what we do in Asia was and still is an essential part of me being back in the States. It’s a process, but God has been faithful every step of the way! I’m so happy that I get to share this journey with you! Thank you for everything you have invested in the things I listed. I am blessed that I get to see the things happening, but I hope that you feel blessed knowing that you have invested, through prayers or finances, to see lives changed in Asia.
