Imagine this…

Everything is going well, your finances are all in place, you have a place to stay, you have food to eat, you have friends, you are in good health…everything is going well in your life. Then all of a sudden, you lose your job, you get evicted, you cant afford groceries, your friends betray you and you are sent to the hospital for something serious, what would you do? How would you think? This example is a bit extreme, but there are different storms in each of our lives. It is not about what we do to prepare for the storm, it is how we react in the midst of the storm. The word says in Psalm 23:4, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me.” All throughout the Bible it talks about the Lord never leaving nor forsaking us. Why do we worry in the midst of the storm?

Our storm has been finances, trusting continually in the Lord to provide all the finances we need to go back to Asia. It hasn’t been easy, and for a while we were trusting for people to give instead of leaning on the Lord for him to provide. So one day we both sat down, prayed and gave everything to the Lord. Our finances, our marriage, we surrendered everything to Him. Before we knew it, more people wanted to join our financial team, our marriage started to grow more, and we were reminded that God is faithful and He hears all of our needs, and wants!

We want to remind you as well, God is in control. Never look at how big the storm in your life is, look at the storm and shout just how big our Lord is!
