The hospital was enormous. No, I was not in the hospital because I hurt myself. Got you though didn’t I? Haha. I was visiting the medical campus with two friends I had met who are in their last years of school to be doctors. The medical campus is gorgeous and it also contains the largest hospital in the world. The average day it has 20,000 patients visit. Crazy.

As we were walking in we passed a child with physical deformities all over his body. He couldn’t have been older than 10, and my heart broke for him, and as we continued to walk I felt the Holy Spirit calling me back to yarp for him. As our Asian friends were leadings us out another exit I asked if we could go out the same one we came in. I got a couple funny looks but I insisted. The hospital was about to close down where we were wanting to leave but I pushed right on through and we made it out just as the child and his mother walked towards that door. I asked my Asian friends to tell the woman I wanted to pray for her son. She thanked me and I bent down to pray over him, put my hand on his head and prayed for 5 minutes. As I was praying I failed to notice the crowd gathered around, some were even taking pictures. As I stood up I told them both that I love them and that Jesus loves them, and put 10 yuan in their tin.

God asked me to do this I believe for two reasons. First is that no person besides his mother had likely touched that boy in years, and I felt so blessed to be able to share Jesus’ love with him. That’s what God asks us followers to do. The Bible says that faith without works is dead, and this is true. The second reason is that this sparked conversation with my friend. He told me that the world was unfair, and I got to share with him that the world was not meant to be like this. There is better and will be better when big bro’s day finally comes.
