In Revelation, we are told that Jesus’ blood is the most valuable thing in the world. . . We literally cannot even imagine its worth. Really?? How do we know? Well, can anyone put a price on ONE human life? Yet we know that by His death, He has purchased a multitude of lives, out of every “tribe and tongue and people and nation.” According to Let the Nations Be Glad by John Piper, there are currently over 16,000 ethne, or people groups as defined biblically! Wow. Any guesses as to how many within Asia’s borders? ~

  1. 3
  2. 11
  3. 56
  4. 490

If you guessed answer D, you are right! (*stats are according to 2000 edition of Operation *Asia; if you view official Asian gov’t stats, its only 56). Only 52 of these, however, are “reached,” meaning they have any sort of established witness among them.  The province where I live is by far the most diverse in all of the country.

This past week, my girlfriend and I felt God sending us to a nearby city to encounter some of these various groups, in particular one we’ll call the White people. Praise God! We experienced great favor in meeting with some local workers as well as White people! I am, of course, still very committed to seeing our campus work through to its completion, but also sense that a change of direction is coming in the near future. How exciting to possibly play a part in seeing one of the peoples (ethnos) that He created come to know Him and be represented in front of His throne, worshiping forever with us. Worthy is the Lamb who was slain!!!

Please continue to pray for:

– Our 1st generation believers to effectively share the gospel.

– I will start teaching English one day per week this Tues. while also developing a curriculum to open my own classes (seems God is leading toward teaching English to government official’s kids – a place of great influence!)

– My girlfriend and I – His will for our relationship and His call on our future.

– The ~500 people groups here to know Him!

Thankfully His,

Clive
