It’s so easy to get carried away in the hustle and bustle of this time of year, all good things just busy. 🙂 And until today I have been going going going and to no ones fault but my own, I hadn’t had a good solid moment with the Lord just resting in His presence! What?!? Isn’t this the time of year I’m suppose to remember “The Reason for the Season” the most?!

The answer I found from the Lord today is, it is always time to remember Him and ALL He has done for us!

Without even realizing it, as I went through our finances, I began to list off in my head all the things we couldn’t do or didn’t have because we didn’t have the resources to. So I set my head back on the couch and said, “Lord, I know your word, your promises and I KNOW this isn’t what you have for us (to live in a state of can’t, don’t have, not enough of)” And I gently heard back, “make a list of what I have given you”. “Ok”, I thought I know where this is going, I need to be more grateful for what I do have…

But to my surprise, as I began writing down things He’s given us, “good food, a car, a warm safe cheap place to live, amazing family, friends, church, support system, jobs, supporters, a healthy beautiful smart son, loving caring husband, an intimate deep r/s with my Savior,” (the list went on and on) I started to get filled with oy as I named each of these off and before I knew it I was singing, Joy to the world and worshiping at the top of my lungs and dancing around my house (on the wild side for a mom with her sleeping son in the next room but I didn’t care)! God had so graciously filled me with His Joy as HE gave me the Grace to thank Him for, for like 5 sec! haha I mean how great is our God!

Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” the Holy Spirit, eternal life, relationship with Him, etc.

My prayer for you and your family this holiday season is that you would respond, however He is calling you, to rejoice/celebrate in ALL that He has given and done for you and let him fill you with His fullness, that He So graciously gives!

Hoagie, Levi and I want to wish you and your family a very Christmas and thank you for your part in our lives and in Asia’s life! We are so grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people.
