In ONE day I had met 22 new friends, some in groups and some individually, but all great people with whom I wanted to follow up and start developing friendships. These weren’t just any people. They were all divine appointments; I watched as time after time God strategically redirected Buttercup’s and my paths to cross with each one of theirs. I went to sleep that night with excited anticipation for the next day.

The next morning I threw in a load of laundry, not remembering my little notebook containing the phone numbers of the people I had met the day before was in the back pocket of my jeans. The load was almost finished with the last spin cycle before I remembered, but it was too late. The precious contact information was spread throughout the clothes in little chunks of paper pulp. Picking them off the clothes, I held the wad in my hand.

How discouraging! How was I going to get in touch with all those people the Lord had put in my path?

And then He reminded me. He is the Lord of the harvest! He can redirect our paths. He is the one who makes the impossible possible.

I put my trust in Him.
