It is hard to believe that we have been in America for almost three months! We have been busy settling into our apartment, pouring into our Asia leaders and preparing the internship for our long term workers. We have 9 Campus Target workers who have heard and responded to God’s call to long-term service. We are so excited and amazed at all that God is doing.

Some times at night I dream about Asia, and my heart gets heavy as I long to be there, but at the same time, I have this overwhelming peace knowing that God has called us to the States for this season.

Since we have been back, it is like we have Asian radar, ha ha. Everywhere we go we are constantly seeing Asian people. It is like a magnetic pull. I have to restrain myself from talking to everyone who even looks Asian.

This past week I went to the Asian market with some friends. As we were going through the store it felt like home in Asia! I heard tons of people talking in their language, and it was wonderful to see all of the food brands that we would buy in Asia.

As I was walking through the store I heard this college age girl talking to her boyfriend. I was so excited because Jay-Z and I have been wanting to meet some Asian students in America. Later I walked up to her and said “Hi, are you from Asia?” That is my great pick-up line! However it worked! She was so sweet and shy. She has only been in America for about 4 months. I am pretty sure that I am the first American to befriend her. I exchanged numbers and email with her boyfriend with plans to have them over sometime for an Asian home-cooked meal.

We are looking forward to getting to know them and pouring into them as a couple. Pray that as we step out and share the gospel with them that their hearts would be open and willing to receive Jesus!

Thank you so much for your prayers. We feel such a tremendous grace being back in America and with the transition from one culture to another and we know that it is because of your prayers!
