While Sam is studying, I’ve been heavily involved in recruiting over the past couple of months. I’ve been able to have dozens of powerful conversations with young adults about God’s calling on their lives, their identity, the openness in Asia. I’ve challenged them to pray and ask God if He is leading them to go to Asia, share the gospel, and see lives transformed! Not only have people responded, it has also been really refreshing for me now that I feel totally rested and revived by furlough to reconnect with ministry and our mission.

This past weekend Sam and I were both at BasicCon (a regional college ministry’s conference) with over 500 students! I’ve gone to this event many times, but this was Sam’s first time. And yet somehow Sam was invited up to speak to the whole conference! He was asked by our director to share from his heart about the need for more workers to go to Asia. He was amazing! He said he felt nervous beforehand, but as soon as the mic was in his hand, he felt completely calm.

Since September, we’ve had well over 200 young adults express interest in going to Asia next fall to be a part of our one-semester new worker team! Would you please be praying for them as they make decisions to apply and ask for God’s leading?
