Ni Hao! Hello!

Have you ever met someone in such a peculiar way that you just knew you were supposed to meet them and be friends? Let me tell you about my friend Lemon.

As I was having dinner with one of my good friends, Paul and one of our new brothers Sonny, I watched as a girl a few tables away got up and was heading in our direction. As she passed she smiled and continued on. This passing ended up being one of probably 6-8 times of her passing our table throughout the course of our dinner and each time, she looked at me and just smiled.

Being the extrovert that I am and not wanting to possibly miss an Holy Spirit guided moment, I excused myself from the conversation with the guys and walked over to her table to introduce myself! As we exchanged contact information, my new friend Lemon then blurted out that she kept smiling at me because she thought I looked like Adele! Despite the reasoning for her smiling, I was still convinced that it wasn’t chance that caused us to meet. And only a week later did I find out that it was indeed the Holy Spirit!

I have never had such an easy transition into sharing as I did that day with Lemon. Within two minutes of sitting down, Lemon told me, “My best friend is studying in the States right now, and about 2 years ago she became a believer! Every day she sends me these!” Lemon held up her phone displaying the daily text messages her best friend had been sending that was straight from the Bible! As I began to share, Lemon was captivated; so captivated that neither of us were eating our food! As I invited Lemon to start a relationship with God, you could see her excitement! “I think we were supposed to meet,” she said, “just so you could share with me about God.” I smiled and as we prayed together, I could hear the heavens rejoicing!

As it says in John 4:35-37… “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest. Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together. For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’”

Lemon’s best friend sowed and I had the honor to reap! It’s so cool how God orchestrates our lives. How people enter our lives at just the right time in just the right place. He is constantly using His people! So with that I challenge you, this week as you’re going about your day, ask Dad from some cool encounters, chances for you to both sow and reap! Because friends, there is a harvest!!!

Please be praying for my new sisters Lemon and Emily who have come into the family over the last two weeks! Also please bee praying for the four girls who came into the family over the course of this last month! Dad is seriously moving here! Thank you for continually standing in the gap!
