I love the work that God is doing in this beautiful city! In the past 2 months, we have seen over 50 Asian students accept Christ! In this city alone! With our three cities combined…..I don’t even know! In the past years, we have invested so much into this nation through prayer, learning the language, evangelism, and discipleship. What we see NOW is crazy breakthrough. Present day revival!
We see friends like Kitty (who I absolutely love and adore)….Kitty became a believer maybe 6 or 7 weeks ago. Since then, she has been so very obedient to the voice of the Lord! She takes the Great Commission and runs with it! She’s already shared with many of her friends and was able to see one of them accept the Lord! Two weeks ago, she gathered 20+ of her closest friends together and my two roommates were able to go perform a concert for them. They worshiped together. Shared testimonies. And glorified the Lord!
Our friend Daisy was planning on meeting with us to learn how to share the gospel. This is the first thing we teach the new believers. Rather than coming alone, she brought a friend. While teaching her how to share the gospel, she was able to immediately practice on her friend April. By the end of the night, she also believed! Daisy got baptized 2 weeks ago. April will get baptized next week!
Patrick is also a new believer. This guy is rock solid! He’s a man of faith! He’s also actively sharing about the Lord with others! On top of this, the Holy Spirit is so clearly working in him! I was able to be a part of his baptism! When he was practicing sharing the gospel, it sounded like he has been doing this for years! I see the Lord using Patrick to transform this nation! Believe with me!
As I said, we are in the middle of present day revival! And with this, the Enemy gets angry. In the past couple weeks, we, as a city, have seen a lot of attack in regards to family life back home and sickness here. Please be praying for the team here! Especially for the 12 new first year workers. Now that we have been here a little over two months, the “honeymoon” phase is over and “reality” is setting in. Pray that their strength would be found in the Lord and that they would continue to have faith like they’ve never had before!
Also, please be praying for them this week! This week they have an absolutely amazing opportunity to connect with some of the long-term workers with TM (our parent organization). For the first time since arriving in Asia, they are stepping away from city life and spending the week in 3 different villages in Asia. It’ll be an absolutely incredible experience for each and every one of them!
In November, I’ll be heading down to another city for a week to connect with our workers down there. (This is where I spent my first year in Asia). I’m super excited about connecting with all of them and hearing more about all they are seeing God do! And, I get to spend a day in Hong Kong. 🙂
